My Tattoos

My Tattoos

I asked Jesus what He thought of me having tattoos...

I have tattoos and I know a lot of lovely Godly people who have them as well.  I myself, just like those I personally know, got our tattoos BEFORE we started trying to love Jesus and before we cared about obeying His Will.

So soon after I started caring about Jesus and His Will, I asked Him if it was right or wrong for me to have gotten tattoos and what He thought about them.  I did this BEFORE I ever knew that there was anything in the Bible about "tattoos", which says:

"You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh, for the dead,
neither shall you make in yourselves any figures or marks: I am the Lord." Leviticus 19:28 Douay-Rheims

Jesus let me know very clearly that He does not want us to get a tattoo, so I told Him I was sorry for mine and He forgave me and that was the end of it.  I have never and still do not feel regret for my tattoos, because Jesus doesn't want us to regret; just be sorry and accept His forgiveness and let it go and don't make the same mistake again.

Here is what Jesus told me about tattoos:

Tattoos are just like graffiti, because the art is in the wrong place.  Graffiti is art in the wrong place. Like defacing buildings, we are defacing our bodies. God is the artist of our bodies and He does not need His work added to nor “improved” upon by human standards.

Remember, just because something is socially and culturally popular or acceptable, doesn't make it objectively right and good...that's God's decision not ours.
